1. Wire Pay-Off
The original wire rod or wire coil is fed from a pay-off system into the wire drawing machine.
2. Wire Surface Preparation
Depending on the wire material and production process, the wire may be cleaned, descaled or lubricated before entering the drawing dies.
3. Multi-Pass Wire Drawing
The wire is pulled through one or multiple drawing dies. Each drawing pass gradually reduces the wire diameter until the required specification is reached.
4. Cooling and Lubrication
During the drawing process, lubrication and cooling help reduce friction and heat, protect the drawing dies and maintain stable wire quality.
5. Wire Take-Up
After drawing, the finished wire is collected by a take-up system, spooler, or coiling equipment for further processing.
